Lawrence Classmates
Lois writes: I've decided against attending this reunion due to some aging issues; my uneasy balance makes me reluctant to travel along. But I've certainly enjoyed the reunions I've attending in the past.
I continue to lead quite an active life here in retirement. I volunteer as a master gardener and with the Garden Club. I serve as the chair of Kairos, the Caring Committee for the United Church of Gainesville (UCC denomination). I do some accompanying and am taking music lessons again! My husband and I have traveled quite a lot; last year we joined an Road Scholar trip that featured the music of Eastern Europe. It gave me a chance to visit Vienna: another dream fulfilled. But I'll have to admit that the best trip we ever took was to Kenya and Tanzania in 2015 to witness the Great Migration! In my spare time, I get to garden in our own yard and play the piano a couple times a day.
Lawrence gave me the foundation for a satisfying career in teaching and for a thoughtful life of the mind. I will always be grateful.
